Thanks, Joey, for the wonderful commentary and pictures. I agree with the comments that you and your soldiers are making a great difference in Iraq. I hear an upbeat in your entries and we all love your commentary.
Today, the Congress met with the "powers' to be and a concern from the military leaders was that the troops are asking if the American people support what they are doing. Not all believe in this war, but anyone, who we know who is worth anything, supports our troops. Please tell your buddies and any soldier who questions, about our loyality to them. The American people are proud of what you all are doing. We will support you to the end.
I hope you can see Elmo graduate from a college. She has a right to be educated and I suspect you will leave Iraq and make sure that happens. Not to put pressure on you, but she has become a special person of importance in your journey in life.
Keep up the great job! Love the hats and seeing your positive attitude. Love Auntie Memmer
I'm a soldier in the Army National Guard currently serving a 12 month tour in Iraq. I am 24 and am going on my fifth year at the university where I study economics and philosophy. This blog is intended to be a collection of thoughts and experiences from my first preparation for deployment to the day I eventually return home. My ramblings in no way represent the official views of the State Department, Department of Defense, or of any other US soldiers. (Fingers crossed that this disclaimer wards off any future court martials)
