Fingers crossed

It will take some more time but this blog may continue and the old content may be restored. My commander is talking with the necessary people and will hopefully get back to me sometime within the next few weeks. We'll see how it goes. Check in every now and again. I've been writing new entries and have taken several pictures which I hope to post as soon as possible. This site is very important to me and I'm going to try my best (with some help from my command) to alleviate the army's security concerns and keep it running. Thanks for your patience.

Joey,

I'm proud of you for trying another avenue. Working with your command is best for all concerned. While I didn't agree with the 'higher ups'in regards to your blog, I'm sure they have good reasons and know the bigger picture.

Security issues need to be considered and you can comply. We wait for the continuation of your adventures with your soldiers and the Iraqi children. Happy Birthday, dear. Love Auntie Memmer

As a journalist, I'm terribly disappointed to see that your blog has, effectively, been shut down. What a disappointment, considering all the good you've done! I certainly hope that your higher-ups will reflect upon their own stated mission in Iraq - to bring freedom (especially of speech) - and that they will encourage and foster it among their own. Let's hope there's more to come!

Good luck,
Britt

Hi Joe: I am praying you can keep up the writing, it has helped all of us feel better about the situation. We have a son-in-law there too and we know it is hard for all of you. Stay safe and perhaps we will meet someday, from all of us in Eastern Oregon thanks for all you are doing!
