Rin Tin Tin chews arms
For the last few weeks we’ve had two civilian K-9 handlers and their dogs stay with us. We got to know Rob and Al pretty well over that time and had a lot of fun hanging out and swapping stories. On one occasion they even brought out a bite-guard and let a few of the Privates play with it. The guard is almost like a cast that you slip over your arm which, when told to attack, keeps the dog from snapping your forearm. Phil, a buddy of mine, took off running with the guard over his arm. Rob released his dog and the thing went tearing off after him until it finally caught up and wrestled Phil to the ground. I’m told that it’s always a good idea to put the guard between your throat and the dog’s jaws. Fortunately nobody had to learn that one the hard way. Ah, the things we do for fun.
