Farewell and good riddance

My unit is sharing a tent with a pack of obnoxious infantry monkeys. From the first night we arrived, they have kept us up late with their nightly impressions of safari animals. For the last few days they have been granted the freedom to have a "few beers" in the evening. I think most of them exceeded a "few." The first night I woke up to a pair of them screaming at each other just outside the door, one trying to bait the other into a drunken fight. Last night I woke up because some guy threw up all over some other soldiers bunk while he slept in it. Not a good situation. Thankfully, the monkeys are leaving this circus in a few days and we can finally get some real sleep. When we are given the chance to drink, I hope we don't transform into loud, belligerent morons. We'll see how it goes. I hear that tomorrow night might be when they let us find out.

I don't really notice much difference in you when you're drunk Joey.

I hope that doesn't mean you're always a loud, belligerent moron.
