As of today 2000 American service members have died in Iraq. Here are their names and faces. My heart goes out to those who knew and loved them. They will never be forgotten.
It is amazing as to what is paraded as "a milestone." Many of us see milestones as positve advancements in life, work, love...but rarely death. How often do you hear, "I reaced a great milestone today by dying?" 2000 is a milestone that brings the war back to the front page intead of the 10th. I hope that the next big event in this fiasco is no more death, and 2000 less families and friends have to endure the loss of the loved. Love ya Jomama
I'm a soldier in the Army National Guard currently serving a 12 month tour in Iraq. I am 24 and am going on my fifth year at the university where I study economics and philosophy. This blog is intended to be a collection of thoughts and experiences from my first preparation for deployment to the day I eventually return home. My ramblings in no way represent the official views of the State Department, Department of Defense, or of any other US soldiers. (Fingers crossed that this disclaimer wards off any future court martials)
