Greetings, Sergeant Joey! Sorry to be absent for a awhile to your blog, but I keep up with your mother, when I can find her.
Your kids seem healthier and happier these days. The photos as always are priceless!
Reading your entries over time gave me a better appreciation of how you have grown in your responsibilities and perceptions of this war and your contribution. Thank you, Joe, for your bravery and compassionate ways.
Whenever we travel and I see a soldier, I speak to him/her and thank them, because I hope other people will do the same to Joey...as they did in Texas. What you all are doing protects are wonderful life style.
I'm a soldier in the Army National Guard currently serving a 12 month tour in Iraq. I am 24 and am going on my fifth year at the university where I study economics and philosophy. This blog is intended to be a collection of thoughts and experiences from my first preparation for deployment to the day I eventually return home. My ramblings in no way represent the official views of the State Department, Department of Defense, or of any other US soldiers. (Fingers crossed that this disclaimer wards off any future court martials)
