Questions, comments, snide remarks
In more positive news, we are finally sure what our job is going to be. It might entail a bit more excitement than our mothers would prefer, but in the scheme of things it is a really good job. Most importantly, the unit we are replacing is going to make it home with all of it's men (i.e. no KIA's). I think things are going to go just fine here. I'll give you a description of generally what we'll be up to here when and if I can.
I'm a soldier in the Army National Guard currently serving a 12 month tour in Iraq. I am 24 and am going on my fifth year at the university where I study economics and philosophy. This blog is intended to be a collection of thoughts and experiences from my first preparation for deployment to the day I eventually return home. My ramblings in no way represent the official views of the State Department, Department of Defense, or of any other US soldiers. (Fingers crossed that this disclaimer wards off any future court martials)
