Back in Kuwait I was finally able to get a picture of Jeff on a camel. I told his sister I'd do it and here it is. Mission complete. I feel like my job here in the Middle East has been accomplished.

I'm a soldier in the Army National Guard currently serving a 12 month tour in Iraq. I am 24 and am going on my fifth year at the university where I study economics and philosophy. This blog is intended to be a collection of thoughts and experiences from my first preparation for deployment to the day I eventually return home. My ramblings in no way represent the official views of the State Department, Department of Defense, or of any other US soldiers. (Fingers crossed that this disclaimer wards off any future court martials)

They sell a stuffed camel like that at WalMart! Or styrofoam or something. And couldn't you get down at ground level and shoot up so that he looks like he's riding a standing animal?
(Just kidding. I thought I'd be the first person in this blog to heckle a sincere young soldier serving his country.)
I still can't believe that you got my pain in the ass brother to get on a camel, let alone, get a picture of it! Thanks so much! I am going to send it on to all of our family and friends! They will be so amused! I loved the pictures and will be sending a package to Jeff so all of you can give those kids more treats. They are the ones who suffer through this war! All of you be safe!
