Lessons from the Iraq War: Reconciling Liberty and Security

I highly recommend that those who are interested watch this October 22 debate online. It is being held at the Cato Institute, and features many writers, scholars, and policy people that I greatly respect. It will largely be a debate featuring libertarians and conservatives with a variety of views on our current conflict in Iraq. As Radley Balko wrote on his site today, “In this case, folks, when we say "debate," we mean it. Expect sharp clashes on every panel.”

No matter what your view is on this war, this debate will be well worth your time. I think we can all agree that this topic is an important one, and deserves much attention and thought.
