Election 2004

H.L. Mencken, famous newspaperman and notorious curmudgeon wrote many things nearly 80 years ago that still ring true today. Here's a quote that strikes me as particularly true as I look at my election ballot.

"Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right."
